Collins Property Group was founded in 2014, but our story actually began 20 years’ earlier — in 1993 — with Ian Collins Homes. Ian Collins Homes started as a modest residential building company and quickly expanded to become a highly sought-after luxury builder. Run by Ian Collins, Ian’s son, Jason, joined the business in 2004 and began diversifying the company by incorporating boutique development projects in-house.

This is how Collins Property Group was formed.  In 2014 it was officially launched as a separate division of the business. Today, we exclusively work alongside Ian Collins Homes, who builds every one of our unique developments. With vast industry experience and a well-equipped team, we specialise in small lots, large lots, and units.

After graduating with a degree in Construction Management and Economics in 2004, Jason undertook further studies to obtain his Builders Registration. Initially working for Ian Collins Homes, Jason launched Collins Property Group in 2014 where he creates leading developments for the high-end Perth market. As Director of both companies, Jason is able to ensure perfection is achieved at every stage of development.

Walking alongside clients throughout the project, Jason’s flexible people-first approach gives clients the opportunity to be involved however they wish. This client-focus has led Collins Property Group to be recognised as a leading Perth developer.
Ian Collins
Director

Operating as a sole trader since 1976, Ian started Ian Collins Homes in 1995 and is currently a Director for both this initial business, as well as Collins Property Group. He is a Civil Engineer and a Life Member of The Institute of Engineers (Aust), and has been involved with a range of diverse and complex builds over his 43-year career. This includes large-scale design and construction projects for jungle roads and bridges in Papua New Guinea.

As the construction arm of the business, Ian enjoys a comprehensive portfolio of homes built, many clients have built multiple houses — with some clients building up to eight times with Ian Collins Homes. He takes pride in creating beautiful homes that exceed client expectations.
Tom Hughes
Senior Site Supervisor

As the son-in-law and brother-in-law of Ian and Jason respectively, Tom joined Ian Collins Homes and Collins Property Group in 2014. He brings considerable experience to the team and expertly manages our sites. Amongst other things, Tom conducts site inspections, handles health and safety, assesses risk and hazards, and oversees our diligent workforce. With a no-stone-left-unturned approach, Tom ensures all works are carried out at premium Collins Property Group standards, without compromising on safety.
